Also below is my 2008 and 2009 NaNoWriMo novels, Eyes in the Dark and Monsters Within. I think Monsters Within is my best story so far. All three novels are based on dreams I’ve had. Eyes completely deviated from the original dream, so I feel it was not as good. I really suffered through writing that one.
Keep in mind all three are only first drafts.

Monsters is based loosely on an image I remembered from a dream that did not actually make it into the novel. I felt since all I could remember from the dream was a basic premise, I wasn’t as constricted in writing it out. My biggest problem with Monsters was getting sick in week two. I had a terrible time catching up. However, I found that writing a death scene tended to bring my word count into the thousands, so there I wrote a few more in than I was expecting. I still have a lot of fleshing out to do and continuity to fix. There’s a whole scene I forgot to write, and a whole section that needs to come out. Maybe this one I will actually rewrite!
